Looking for an experienced fund manager to help me take the plunge

About You:

I am Italian but I live in Paris, France. I am a husband and a father of 4 (3 boys, 1 girl). I am 44 yo. Career wise I have been in Enterprise Software for almost 20 years, I climbed the ranks and put myself in a pretty comfortable position, but I have never really found \"my call\". I love tech, and always wanted to more entrepreneurial. I want to start a PE fund. I am looking for mentorship from someone who has experienced in buying and selling companies, navigating funds operations and issues. I have been living \"out of my comfort zone\" for quite a while, I lived in 5 different countries, and changed employer quite often, I did this earlier in my life to learn.

Looking for:

Someone who has experience in funds, PE, VC etc... someone I can learn from, someone who can help me interpreting situations, someone I can bounce ideas with. I offer seriousness (some humour too), accountability and focus.
