Film graduate needing some career advice and mentorship

About You:

Hello, I'm a film graduate looking for someone in the film industry who might be able to give me some advice. I graduated from NYU in Film and just recently completed a master's degree in film at a university in Paris. I moved to France for personal reasons and after completing my master's degree I have attempted to work at production agencies, however my foreign worker status has made it difficult to find work especially in this industry. I am planning on moving back to the US soon but my stay in a foreign country and the various challenges I've had to face have made me seriously wonder if I am meant to be in this industry. Without going too much into detail here, I would really like to have an honest voice tell me what they think and also advise me on how I can move forward in a positive way.

Looking for:

Anyone really! I'm really open to hearing anyone's advice, although I might have a slight preference for female mentors just because I am a woman working in an industry dominated by men, it would be interesting to hear what they would have to say. I would also probably appreciate someone a bit older or more experienced and established in the film industry.
