About You:

My name Is Rafael and I'm currently a senior at USF. I am heading to medical school in the fall, but I recently came across the idea of finding a mentor, and would like to pursue it and stay in contact before and possibly during my time in Medschool. For the past five years I've been deeply dedicated to photography, specifically art photography. I am self taught, but I have also set a very strict standard for my work. I have not had a proper exhibit yet, but I have more than a couple thousand followers online looking at my work. My goal in finding a mentor is to find someone that can help me in opening some doors into the art community as well as help me expand my skills with the camera. Ultimately I dream of reaching a global scale, but before I can dream I have to succeed at a practical level, which is why I am here. As a self taught artist one of the standards I set for myself was to commit to creating photographs and never post processing in the hopes that this difficult constraint would help me understand my camera better and find ways of working around its limitations, but after a few years of sticking to that standard it has now become an identifying aspect and element of my work, which I hope to maintain for as long as I can.

Looking for:

I'm mostly looking for an established art photographer that has experience exhibiting their work, and would love to have a mentee that is passionate and dedicated to the art of photography.
