Graduated from 4-year University in Michigan, B.S. in Kinesiology. However, after graduating, realized that the world of Business & Finance is far more exciting and compatible with my personality and interests. I've been educating myself on the stock market and investing, and am really in search of guidance from a mentor who has established themselves in their career, and can provide me with some direction on what I need to do as far as where I need to focus my attention on, what to study,

Looking for:

I am looking for a mentor who can provide me with direction on what steps I need to take in order to build a solid foundation in the finance/investing industry, such as what information channels should I attend to, what exams, if any (Series 7 & 63), should I be taking, what jobs should I seek that will enable me to develop the skills and knowledge base that I need to grow as a young professional and hopefully become a financial analysts for a company. I basically just want someone who has already gone down the road to becoming a financial analyst, financial consultant, securities agent, portfolio manager, etc who can provide specific advice that has helped them get to where they are so that I will not waste my time and energy focusing all my attention in the wrong areas.
