I am searching for a mentor to help me make sound career/business decisions and help with approaching difficult managers when it comes to asking for further experience

About You:

I am currently studying a degree and will join an MBA in 2015/16. I work in health and safety and have strong interest in organization behavior and human resources. I feel that I am at a crossroad in my career where I would be equally happy to continue down my career work or start my own business in consulting and potentially stop working in the future.

Looking for:

I am looking for a mentor to share their experience with me on the road to career success. I would like to discuss having to deal with poor managers, how they were able to juggle work/study/family commitments and still manage to find ways to enjoy themselves with their family, particularly if they are not in the same way inclined business wise as you. I would like to gain insight on finding the people in an organization that will be able to help and support me achieve career success as well as how to approach a manager about exploring career opportunities in areas that I currently do not work, even globally. I would also like to explore methods of making the decision to continue with my current career path or potentially split off and begin my own consulting business.
