I'm a late-career teacher looking to transition to a career in technical writing--and have no idea where to start!

About You:

I've spent the vast majority of my career as an itinerant Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. Now that I've finally settled down in one place, I want to transition into the more lucrative field of technical writing.

Looking for:

I'm looking for a mentor who can guide me in the right direction towards developing a career in technical writing, even though my background is in English teaching, rather than any technical process or STEM background. I'm also looking for someone who can be patient with me, as I have a disability which interferes with my plans on occasions. Thanks in advance!
