Business Consultant and New Business Owner

About You:

I am a graduate from the University of South Carolina. My focus has always been in business. At a young age I owned a car detail business with our niche being we picked up the cars and delivered them back washed and detailed. I had about 150 clients and would employee 3-5 people at any given time if the work got overwhelming. I sold that business for far less than it was actually probably worth, not knowing the value of the clientele I had built. I found my way into restaurant management where I quickly became a General Manager of a $4 million a year location. Restaurant management was a great experience in business. You are involved in so many different aspects in business from customer service, employee retention, recruiting, budgeting and p&l performance etc. I found my strengths in the financial aspects of the business, implementing tight cost of goods measurements as well as focused labor strategies. My interests in these categories motivated me in developing very efficient spreadsheets for management to monitor their progress on a daily basis. We were a young company during this time, with less than 30 locations total and more than half of those were franchised. This gave me the opportunity to create my own tools to use such as daily p&l performance sheets, cost of goods variance sheets, and a labor pro that is efficient and visually appealing as any software you could purchase. I even had it integrated into the pos system. Many of these tools were implemented throughout the company. Perhaps the most important strength I have built on are my leadership abilities. I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge through leadership programs and books that I not only used on a daily basis, but shared as part of the process of developing my management and staff teams. I also spent some time as an operating partner, and most recently as a multi unit manager. One of my greatest achievements was as a multi unit manager where under my leadership I took four failing locations and increased their combined ebitda by over $600k in 2015 compared with 2014. In between I have occasionally been contracted for consulting projects. This leads me to where I am today. Through all of these years I have always wanted to own my own business. Ive wanted to build something. I decided to pursue consulting on my own. I spent the last several years doing vigorous personal development. I had come to realize I had been working hard, but not working on myself. I have written a business plan to create a consulting organization. I will gladly share the plan and value proposition, but in short I look to build teams and have a model for a franchise organization. I plan on spending the next several months completely focused on my own company. I have set aside enough to get by on to get off the ground. I want to execute some contracts to complete my plan so I can present it to investors in the future. I made a decision the best way to enter the business and get in front of as many people as possible would be using the internet as my catalyst. I am building a website along with the help of a freelancer. I plan to use the site as a blog to share my experiences and best practices. Additionally will share the tools I have created over the years while building an email list for newsletters on the back end. I will have a separate page that will help me gather information about potential clients along with an appointment generator. The site is not published but will go live under the name www.bestmanagementsecrets.com. During my research of website design, seo, analytics etc created a fascination with the unlimited potential that the internet provides. I have looked heavily into affiliate marketing as well as buying established sites for passive income.

Looking for:

I am looking to gain knowledge about entering the affiliate marketing community. I have purchased some domains and would like to build affiliate sites behind them.
