About You:

My name is Melody Duckins. I was born in Dublin, Georgia and raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts where we take digging for clams seriously! I have been blessed and fortunate to pursue my personal and education goals. I received my Bachelor’s in Music from Berklee College of Music, my Master’s in Education and Psychology from Western New Mexico University and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southwestern College. I have a husband and two children, one of which is my furbaby. My husband and I have been blessed to work at Beacon College in Leesburg which serves a neuro-diverse community, the 2nd of its kind in the nation, for 2 years now. I am seeking to transition to an administrative position in higher education. I am seeking a mentor to walk me through this transition or any other options that are aligned with my desire to serve and help others.
