Introductory Phrase:
I am a high school chemistry teaching looking to leave the classroom and expand my job opportunities possibly to higher education (college) or a related field. I would like to explore my options as a teacher and utilize my skills effectively.
About You:
I am goal driven and like to accomplish project after project. I am organized, systematic, and have a good rapport with people. I have been a mentor at my school for several years now and understand the mentor/mentee relationship. I am generally introverted, but do well in smaller group settings and also have good public speaking skills from my years of teaching. I am not afraid to command a room if I am comfortable about the topic presented, but am not that comfortable talking about myself.
Looking for:
Since I am looking to transition into another career, I realize that I need guidance and advice for others who have made the transition. I know my skills learned as a teacher will transition to other jobs and I think I know other jobs that I would like to pursue, but I would like to know what else is out there. How do I find a new career that is right for me and how to I maximize my hiring prospects?
