Paralegal student, late in life, looking for opportunities

About You:

I am a 38 year old later in life paralegal student. I have a Bachelor's in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. I went on to obtain my Master's in Financial Investigations with a specialization in Anti-money Laundering. Life events have allowed me the opportunity to go back to school and pursue paralegal studies. I am currently in a distance program to obtain a paralegal associate's degree and should be finished within a year. I am eager to learn from someone who has gone through the process of breaking into the field and choosing a specialty.

Looking for:

I am looking for someone in the field who has experienced the ups and downs of obtaining a paralegal career. The process is long and convoluted and I just need some tips on breaking into the field.
