Introductory Phrase:
I am a 33 year old business owner, I took over the 20 year family business 6 years ago. We were at about $400k a year in revenue and now average just over $1.2 million. I have now added on to the business by obtaining our General Contractors license. I have hired and experienced person to run the GC side as we start. But I am definitely looking for some guidance and wisdom in the new development into our business.
About You:
Like I said I am 33 years old, married with a wife and 3 kids. I am extremely driven and working to develop the business into a $5-$10 million dollar business in the next 2-3 years, with a goal of having above $20 million in the next 5-7 years. However, I am trying to build it like an actual business where I am not doing everything. Currently our mechanical business is run day to day by me, and thought I don’t do any of the actual work the business could not function with out (Yes i am aware that is a huge problem) I want to figure out how to create a structure where I am not handling the business just over seeing it and yet it can still be profitable and of great quality.
Looking for:
I am looking for anyone who has already been through it all. taken a small business and grown it to the levels I am talking about. Who have implemented plans hand created structures where the business could not only function but grow healthily without them doing all the work. I am looking for experience and wisdom Thank you
