Starting a crewed charter sailing yacht business

About You:

Contemplating a midlife career change, tired of office work. Want to start a crewed charter sailing yacht business sailing out of South-Central Alaska. Problem is I do not yet have the necessary experience, knowledge, or certifications.

Looking for:

I would like somebody who can give me advice, and help me figure out a plan. One idea is to try to find an entry level job as a deckhand, gain the experience and certifications I need. Problem is I don't think this is a good time for a middle age guy with little relevant experience to find a job. Other plan is to hire a captain and buy the boat now. Get the business started while working under a pro. Need somebody with experience who can give me good advice, help me with my business plan, and help me find a good captain.
