Looking for a mentor to help with the patent process and/or tech start up

About You:

I am 26 now, but started a LLC in college to be a contractor for marketing companies representing Fortune 500 clients. So far it's going well.

Looking for:

I am just starting a tech company and was hoping to find a mentor to help with this process. I'm in the middle of preparing a provisional application for a patent, and am unsure if I'm in the right direction. I talked to 3 different lawyers who were very discouraging. Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!
