Hi, to whomever it may concern. I'm 30 year old marketing professional. I've lived and worked across Asia and Europe and I'm considering a slight change in direction in life right now.

Looking for:

I've been thinking of getting back to University and getting my Doctorate. I'm a marketing professional and am passionate about creativity and innovation as a whole. I'm seeking a mentor who can give some advice on how do I go about 1) approaching a PhD application 2) what I need to know before I take the plunge and leave my (slightly melancholic) life behind in the pursuit of knowledge and research. I already possess a Master's degree but have been out of academia for close to 5 years. I'm currently on the verge of 30 and would like to know the pros and cons of re-entering education at a doctoral level at my age.
